About Mark Caron
Mark Caron is a web designer/developer and artist living in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mark was born as a child of the awesome 80's, somewhere in Florida to couple of Canadians. With these polar extremes, and suffering from the "middle-child-syndrome" comes his great personality. It's always been a struggle.
Mark graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Visual Art, where he played club ice hockey. And he is currently the Senior Designer for Atlantic BT, a small web design and online solutions company in Raleigh. At Atlantic BT, Mark has helped push the company into a better direction, making guidelines for following web standards, semantic markup, and designing CSS based layouts.
When Mark's not focused solely on his monitor (hint: turn it off, then he'll pay attention), he manages to get in some valuable foosball action. However, outside of work Mark actually begins to function normally, with occasional discussions about CSS to people who don't really care about it. But regardless to his obsession, it's hard for him to actually want to be on a computer when he gets home.
He also manages to coach a U-16 Challenge soccer team, the CASL Shakers. During 2005 and 2006 they created a dynasty, winning both State Championships at their level, and allowing only 11 goals against in 2 seasons. In 2005, they went undefeated with 18 shutouts in 23 games! This past season, 2007, they went undefeated again! Only allowing 2 goals against all season! Since they're so awesome, they figured they'd let someone else win the State Cup, and not even bother going. Classic tournaments are more challenging. Mark also trains goalkeepers, as he was a goalie in high school, and plays in a men's league as often as he can.
Other obsessions include cooking and watching the Food Network and checking out the latest flick — in no particular order. He also spends a lot of time with his dog Bauer, who he runs with, plays catch with, and who likes to laze around on weekends with.
