Brian Dettmer: Book Autopsies

Jason H. sent me a link this morning to some of Brian Dettmer's book autopsies. I've never heard of him before nor did I know what a book autopsy was. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check them out.
I had to post this link because this is absolutely amazing! They're brilliantly original, beautifully crafted, and definitely impressive. I just wonder, how long it took him to do each one? And how much time did he spend trying to figure out where certain words or images where to get his desired effect?
