Do you like Starbucks?
If you answered yes to the above question, you need to get out more! Starbucks makes the worst coffee. And worst yet — it's more expensive than most places too! They've just reeled people in by their yuppy marketing. Just because it's the most popular doesn't mean it's the best (I could give the Beta vs. VHS argument).
I'm not pushing McDonald's coffee over Starbucks, because quite frankly they're about the same: Stale and burnt. Instead, try checking out places like Global Village, who get fresh roasted beans every couple of weeks. They also happen to be cheaper. And, support the local entreprenuer!
And if you would like to know more on what really classifies a good cup of coffee, check out "A Coder's Guide to Coffee."

true...true, starbucks coffee isn't great, but they're so freakin' easy to find. i pass about 3 on the way to work. i'd rather brew my own at home though. at the fresh market i found beans from a local roaster who sells a good amount of organic and shade grown coffees. the one i have at home now is their Inca Gold: http://www.8thsincoffee.com//product_details.php?category_id=61&item_id=146Mon, 28 Jan 2008 16:41:00 EST
